Well, here's the long and short of it.  WE LOVE ROAD TRIPs...they take us to the best places, and we are always seeking out new roads and trails to get us to places we have never been, or to return to places we love.  But, we also know that some of our fans might not have the opportunity that we do to travel frequently and to explore the places they might be dreaming of.

Adventure at 3 Rivers

This has been a completely different experience for us here…the spring melt has started, and the river runs higher than we’ve ever seen.  The Lochsa was full of kayaks and rafts, and some amazing rapids were seen along the way.  Once on the Selway, we were so excited to see our beloved Selway Falls, having only seen them in August and September.  There are no words for this Spring season…just watch the video.  Sometimes I’m overwhelmed by the power of nature when we see something like this.

Frey and Feather Falls Adventure Week

What a beautiful week, so after finishing work in the City, we headed to an area we had not yet explored in Butte County, California.  We headed for Feather Falls area.  Weather was perfect, woke up to 28 degrees F, but it warmed nicely and after we got out on the trail it was perfect spring hiking weather.  We took the upper trail, which is just a bit over 5 miles (only 0.2 miles - hehe) and came to the incredible Feather Falls.  There was nothing short of incredible beauty along the trail though, Frey River and her Falls are...

Some Fishing Stories Are Worth Repeating
And...having learned my lesson on the Lochsa, I graciously bowed out and told Matt "no, you go ahead and cast, you need to break in that new rod anyway"; or maybe it went something more like this from Matt "I'm gonna try this pool, or do you want to?" to which I replied "nah, I'm good, I'll just shoot some footage while you cast."
